Welcome to Tallinn!

Let the ACA Annual Conference be your excuse to set out to
the most vibrant city in the Baltics!

There are few places in Europe where the aura of the 14th and 15th centuries survives intact as it does in Tallinn's Old Town, a jumble of medieval walls and turrets, needling spires and winding, cobbled streets. Nevertheless, Estonia's capital is so modern it's been dubbed 'a suburb of Helsinki'. A beacon of ancient and modern, Estonia’s energetic capital is both a medieval wonderland and technology Mecca.

At the historical heart of the city is the hill of Toompea, covered in cobbled streets and filled with medieval houses and alleyways. The lower town spreads out from the foot of the hill, still protected by the remnants of a city wall. Around the city wall is a series of well-maintained green parks, great for strolling.

Did you know that Tallinn was named the "Party Capital of the Year" in 2006 by the New York Times? Finally freed from Russian rule in 1991, Estonia lost no time getting hip to a new start. Tallinn is the “It” place to be, wireless and booming with a young and “paperless” government Skype-ing in medieval headquarters. Tallinn isn’t called the “Baltic Vegas” for nothing.
