ACA Annual Conference 2011: The excellence imperative. World-class aspirations and real-world needs.
Vienna, 22-24 May 2011
Co-organised by OeAD
ACA’s Annual Conferences have become a synonym for high-quality information, analysis and discussion on current policy and practice-related issues in the area of international higher education. ACA Annual Conferences address higher education representatives, such as rectors, vice-rectors, faculty and international relations staff, as well as policy-makers and practitioners from government departments, international institutions, non-governmental organisations and think tanks. They offer opportunities for learning, exchange and networking at a high level.
The 2011 Annual Conference, organised in collaboration with ACA's Austrian member organisation OeAD, brought together a group of leading thinkers to address, from a wide range of perspectives, the central question of how the quest for excellence—in all its complexity—is playing out in Europe and beyond. The two-day conference took place in lovely Vienna on 23 and 24 May, and drew over 300 participants. It was preceded by a welcome reception and a social programme on 22 May.
